Current roommate and I finished season one (all that's available so far) of The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. ( not very spoilery, but I'm going to refer to the original film )

Getting closer to the end of the semester, and I AM SO TIRED. Particularly tired of grading papers, but also just generally tired.

I'm glad that I tried more than just the pilot episode of Raising Dion (Netflix, season one came out October 2019). So far (just over halfway through s1) it's better than the pilot would indicate. One thing that has improved: the child actors. They're very young, which makes a difference in the type of story that's being told. How do you control ( Read more... )

ITV / PBS production Unforgotten continues to be amazing. Excellent acting, good pacing, a solid mystery with enough potential leads to make it compelling. What I like best is the way it doesn't shy away from hard subjects like racism, difficulties in interracial romance, infidelity, violence... not that those things are the main focus, but they're ( Read more... )
